The pediatrician sent us to the hospital and we ended up in the ER and Zach needed a cast. He had a buckle fracture which is apparently very common in small kids, especially if they land with their palms down.
He picked a red cast which he only had to have for 3 weeks. Daddy took him to get the cast of yesterday and we have LOVED not having to put a plastic bag on his arm every night for bath. The cast really didn't slow him down much, but it was fun to have all those signatures. He also got spoiled rotten by his grandparents. My mom came down and spoiled him silly and Thad's parents OVERNIGHTED him a batman toy. They also sent him a batman cookie jar with amazing candy and goodies inside. I told Zach that only happens the first time you break your arm, the second time you don't get anything good.
Since he got the cast off, he's been taking it with him places, although I'm hoping he leaves it lying around soon so I can throw it away because it doesn't smell all that nice.

Right after we learned it was broken, he was pretty sad and tired.

We had to keep frozen vegetables on his arm and keep it elevated. We also got a prescription for Lortab and we even opted for a bottle of rootbeer flavoring. I don't think it did much, he still hated the medicine. We only gave it to him a couple times, he mostly just had IBProfen.

He opted for the red cast

Healed at last!
